Volunteer, Educator, Inspirator
My father was an english teacher before he decided to be an entrepreneur, and my grandpa was a philanthropy. We can not easily concluded that my passion was influenced by my family line, yet I always inspired by them and love to help people in need, hence I started to join voluntary events at a very young age, which since I was 5 years old.
As a young woman, I am blessed with love and care, and I have a passion to share it to many people, particularly under-privileged people and children through education. Education is the most important thing that we should not skip, in order to build the world and this country a better place. I have traveled to many remote area, and found the facts that citizens in many remote area, particularly in Sumatra and Borneo are lack of knowledge about environment. Limited science resource cause them to have such low awareness related to global warming issue. The habit to litter the sea is one of many impact of and it breaks my heart every time I seen it, because no one to blame for this particular situation.
From that moment, I pledged to myself, that I want to be an educator, so they have a better knowledge, mindset and could drive them to have a better life. Eventhough society do love trivial things to discuss and leave the facts behind, yet I believe, it should be a constant and progressive movement to shape people's mindset and teach them about environmental issues, to raise society's awareness, and finally have an impact of social change. I am going to find a stepping stone to continue my journey in humanity work, so eventually I could move to the next level, which is really involved in academic world, particularly research about social change; and/or to work with non-profit organizations. I will write the journey of my dreams, balancing my passions and share the happiness to people near me.
